Many Detroit Lions fans are wondering who should be the starter from this point on in the 2008 season. This answer is simple… Dan Orlovsky.
Jon Kitna is obviously not going to be a Lion past this year. With that being said, there is no real benefit to starting Jon. Jon has worked hard for the [...]

The biggest story leading up to this game is that Jon Kitna is out, Dan Orlovsky is in. Drew Henson has been signed off the practise squad. Does this mean Jon Kitna will be out the door before the trade deadline? Considering he did not make the 1 hour flight with the team, I think it does.

The Lions have a tough Week 6 opponent in the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings will look to give our NFC North basement dwellers a 0-5 record. Who thought we’d be 0-5 going into the season?
The D-Line has to step up…
Pressure, pressure, pressure. The Lions need to hurry Gus Frerotte and try to cause turn overs. [...]
I will start by saying that I am a big Roy Williams fan. He is a fantastic wide receiver with a flare for getting the fans excited. Don’t let his drops on Sunday convince you otherwise because that was not an indication of his play. A frustrated player on a frustrated team is bound to [...]
The Lions are off to one of the worst starts in team history and the outlook is grim. With 2 division losses and a very tough schedule ahead, the future is not bright for the leagues worst team.

We are at the beginning of July and all the NFLÂ off-season maneuvering has been completed. The player movement, trades, NFL Draft, the mini-camps and the Organized Team Activities have all been completed. Now comes the lull before NFL Training Camps open in late July. The [...]
Detroit Lions could Learn from Detroit Red Wings
Your ‘Lion Eyes’ blogger remembers when the Detroit Red Wings were consistently derided nationally as the ‘Dead Wings’. They were perennial losers in the NHL. Of course that is no longer true. Now they are annual Stanley Cup contenders. The Red Wings just won the 2008 Stanley Cup and [...]
Mandatory Mini-Camp
It is once again that time of the year when all Detroit Lions fans dream of the Lions winning the Super Bowl in early February. This dream usually dies sometime during the 1st regular season game, though last year we were still dreaming until about week 10 after that 6-2 start.
National Draft Review for the Detroit Lions 2008 NFL Draft Choices
After the Lions finished their draft last week I searched for National Reviews of their choices. Here are a few of what I found.
AÂ - Rick Gosselin Dallas Morning New. Gosselin was impressed with the Lions selecting 3 possible starters on Defense with this draft.
