0-4 and Counting

The Lions are off to one of the worst starts in team history and the outlook is grim.  With 2 division losses and a very tough schedule ahead, the future is not bright for the leagues worst team.

The Vikings win last night may have been an ugly victory, but it is a win.  The Vikings easily have the momentum coming into Sunday’s game in Minneapolis.  The Lions are a dismal 0-4 compared to the Viking’s 2-3 record.  Although the Vikings offense is lethargic to say the least, the league’s worst defense will likely not be able to stop them.  Adrian Peterson will be looking to improve on his 32 yard effort on Monday Night Football.  It is no secret that Adrian loves to run against the Detroit D.

The only weak team the Lions will face will be the 0-4 Houston Texans (Week 7).  Starting Week 8 the Lions face Washington, Jacksonville, Chicago and Carolina.  Without a win in Minni or Houston, an 0-10 start is very possible.  The season closes with Tampa, Minni, Tennessee, Indy, New Orleans, and the Cheese-heads.  Every team in the list is strong, which will make the Lions lucky to have a 3 win season in 2oo8.

In a season that started with fans saying 13-3 and a QB saying 10 wins, there is a possibility of owning the first round draft pick overall in the 2009 NFL draft.

Keep your heads up Detroit Fans…
