Jay picks the Chiefs to beat the Lions. Jay thinks the Chiefs will play good defense and turn the Ford Field crowd against the Lions:

The Chiefs played well even though they lost to the Titans last week.

If the Chiefs get a lead, the crowd in Detroit could be pretty miserable. That could affect the Lions even more, considering their struggles. Detroit must have a “here we go again” feeling about this season.

Expect the Chiefs to play good defense.

I think this will be a close game featuring two pretty bad NFL teams. I give Detroit the edge only because they are playing at home. Plus if the Lions lose they will no doubt extend their NFL record for futility, by losing next week, for a 7th straight 10 loss season. It will be a close game in my view and the Lions barely win 31-27. Detroit finishes the season next week on the road in Green Bay probably to end their season with a 16th straight loss regular season loss to the Brett Favre led Green Bay Packers.
