Your ‘Lion Eyes’ blogger has put the Local Detroit Media selections for the game on Sunday against the New York Giants in this post. I have also included the ESPN experts picks and MSNBC’s Jay Novaceks choice.
Here is what I found in the Local Detroit Media:
Source: Detroit News
Mike O’Hara: Detroit
Rob Parker: New York
Terry Foster: New York
Bob Wojnowski: New York
Source: Detroit Freep Press
Mitch Albom: Detroit
Nicholas J. Cotsonika: New York
Drew Sharp: Detroit
Here are the Picks from ESPN and MSNBC.
Source: ESPN Week 11 Picks
The ESPN crew split evenly with their choices. Chris Mortensen, Ron Jaworski, Merril Hoge and Eric Allen picking the Giants. Seth Wickersham, Sean Salisbury, Mark Schlereth and Mike Golic choosing the Lions.

Jay feels the Giants will rebound for the loss last week to the Cowboys.
The Giants didn’t play badly against the Cowboys – they made enough mistakes to doom themselves against a very good team. But that’s different from playing poorly.
The Lions present another tough challenge, but watch how the Giants respond to the loss. New York will put a lot of pressure on Jon Kitna, disrupt that high-powered Detroit offense and do enough to win. Â
- Your ‘Lion Eyes’ blogger’s pick
Yesterday I said that the game was too close to call for your ‘Lion Eyes’ blogger. Turns out to be a coin flip game for me. Heads the Lions win, Tails Giants lose. I think the Lions will be able to control the Giants rushing game and with Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz’s commitment to get the running game going the Lions will squeak out a win. Don’t get me wrong this game will not be like the last game at Ford Field when the Lions routed the Denver Broncos. New York will present many difficult challenges to the Lions, most obvious is the relentless pressure QB Jon Kitna will face from the Giants pass rushers. I envision a very close game that the Lions win 24-21. If I am correct Detroit will own the tiebreaker against the Giants plus a 1 game lead for an NFC playoff spot. The Lions will not have any rest after this game as the Green Bay Packers come to Ford Field on Thursday for the Annual Thanksgiving Day clash. I hope they are 7-3 when the meet the Packers.
