  • Philadelphia Eagles to wear 1933 ‘Throwbacks’ against the Lions.

During the 2007 Season the Eagles will be playing their 75th season in the NFL. Eagles Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie had this to say about the 2007 Season:

“We will celebrate 75 years of Eagles football and the most passionate fans in the NFL during the 2007 season”

 ”Knowing how much the Eagles have meant to the City of Philadelphia, I am truly honored to be part of the rich history of this team”

Eagle ThrowbacksThe Eagles designated the game versus the Lions as the ‘Throwback Game’ Eagle Throwbacksand will wear 1933 Throwbacks when they take the field against the Lions on Sunday @ 1:00 at Lincoln Financial Field. Here is a look at what Fans can expect to see when they watch the game. The uniforms commemorate the color and design scheme the Eagles wore during their 1st season in the NFL. 

  • Lions To Philadelphia

For the only time since 1998 the Lions are going to Philadelphia to play. The Lions hope to open the NFL Season 3-0 for the first time since the 1980 ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ team started 4-0. The Lions have never played in Lincoln Financial Field.

Ex-Lion Head Coach Marty Mornhinweg, who coached the Lions during the 2001 and 2002 seasons, is the Eagles Assistant Head coach and Offensive Coordinator.

The Lions record against the Eagles stands at 12-12-2. The Eagles have won the last 4 meetings and of course that includes the December 30th 1995, Playoff Massacre at the Vet, 58-37 in the Lomas Brown Guarantee game.

    First off, who was Alan Ricard?

    James, Ricard started with the Ravens in 2000, was on the practice squad when the Ravens won the Super Bowl that season. Was a pro bowl alternate in 2003, when Jamal Lewis got 2,066 yards, because he was a dominant run blocker and pass protector.
