Detroit Lions Prepping for NFL Kickoff Weekend

Detroit Lions Prepare for NFL Kickoff Weekend

Lions are finally in a Regular Season routine and are focusing on preparing for the NFL Kickoff Weekend game in Oakland against the Raiders on Sunday at 4:00 Eastern. Your ‘Lion Eyes’ blogger once again has high hopes for a successful campaign for the Gridiron Heroes from Motown.

Lions Coach Rod MarinelliCoach Rod Marinelli has discussed wanting a roster made up of players who have ‘football’ character. I can only hope that the changes the Lions have made since last season has rid the team of its ‘characters’ and brought in play-makers that will help the Lions get back to a team that is not the ‘Homecoming’ team for all the other teams on the schedule. Everything you read and hear about Marinelli from ex-players from his years as an assistant coach at Tampa Bay is all positive.

Even though the Lions disappointed last season with a 3-13 ledger, I believe they are in the process of becoming a team that will cause many teams on their schedule difficulties this year. Here is the Current 2007 Detroit Lions Roster:
